Ryan Howard striking out?
I'm a Phillies fan and I give equal respect to every player no matter how suckish they are. With all the strikeouts Howard have, I'm starting to think he actually swings and misses in batting practice. They said that he actually approach the ball better but before that, do you think he could actually swing and miss at batting practice. Give me your comment about this and Mets fans, don't make fun on Ryan.
When I said give me your comment, I meant to say give me your opinion.
I think it is a matter of him simply not seeing the ball very well. By this I dont mean he has vision problems, players often go through slumps where they dont identify the rotation of the ball very well causing them to more or less guess at what kind of pitch is coming. This seems to be the case with Howard at the moment. Again nothing new in the world of baseball and Howard has a track record of success and youth so this would seem to be more a temporary situation not unlike last season. Howard will never have a great hitting eye, proof of that comes with his penchant for striking out but with the warmer weather should come a hotter bat.
