Mets part with Randolph?
Though Willie had his talks with owners and they chose for him to remain as coach, I cant help but wonder what will be of him and The Mets. Clearly, for most part at times, players make managers and managers make players, but Randolph is not to blame for the teams downfall. NO one is hitting, consistently, their pitching is respectful at most, but could be better, and perhaps more so, a new hitting coach is needed or someone else. Except for Church, they have Wright, Beltran, Delgado, Reyes struggling with their bats. Delgado is on a steady downfall since becoming a Met, and that might actually be the other NY team curse. Certain players in the past who had posted huge numbers with their original team, then came to NY, only to not perform as they had. What do you think is wrong with The Mets and who do you hold responsible, and why?
I've been a diehard Mets fan for over 20 years and I can honestly say it's not Willie's fault for the situation we've been in since last September. You're right about Ryan Church, with the exception of him the entire team is playing like they don't give a ****, they're making careless errors and nobody seems to be producing at the plate. When you have on paper what looks to be the best lineup in the NL and you choke everytime at the plate you cannot blame the manager. The bullpen needs some work too. Even though it's not entirely Willie's fault he will take the fall at some point this season unless they start to play like the way they're supposed to. We need to get rid of Delgado before Willie though....it's just difficult to watch your team play like crap day after day after day....when they should be so much better than this. Just a bunch of underachievers
