What in the world is Bob Watson thinking?
He should fine himself for his stupid and twisted baseball thinking. What is the message he is trying to convey be fining the players and coaches of the Dodgers and Phillies. Nobody got hurt, there were no punches thrown so where is the harm? I think a warning should suffice to try to prevent injuries because no matter what rules you may have in a game of baseball and especially in these kind of games you're going to be acting before thinking. IT IS THE PLAYOFFS, MR. WATSON. Get a hold of yourself. You really take the life out of watching a high-tension game.
Major leaguers are grown men with brains. They knew exactly what they were doing. Fighting has no place in baseball. It doesn't matter whether it's spring training, the regular season, or the playoffs. The umpires showed restraint by not ejecting anyone.
It's beyond me why anyone would think there shouldn't be repercussions.
