Catching a souvenir baseball at a game.....?
So I know I am going to sound like an uber dork, but I want to get a few souvernir baseballs.
I am going to a Braves game soon, and they hold batting practice and that's when I plan on going to get some baseballs.
I was wondering if anyone had an idea on what I could use to grab the baseballs that are on the ground right by the front row...there is like a 3 feet gap between the 2 walls and occasionally I see baseballs go down in there.
My question is, what could I use to grab the baseballs down there? I'd say it's maybe 8-9 feet deep. I am not bringing a fishing net. I thought maybe a cup attached to a rope....but that'd seem tricky.
Let me know if there are easier suggestions. Thanks!
First of all you won't be allowed near the first row. All stadiums today rope off the box seat area so that won't be an option. Your best bet is to go to the outfield seats a couple of hours prior to the starting time and try and get a ball hit over the fence. A lot of baseballs are hit over the fence during that time.
Understand that there will be a great number of people doing the same thing so the competition for retrieving a baseball is very high. Some people get really nuts and will do just about anything to get a baseball. You have to be careful or you can get hurt. Good luck!
