Will Big Papi get 10 games at first this year??
I could really use his bat at 1B in my AL-only league. Daric Barton is killing me there. And i've got guys I can move into the util spot once Ortiz shifts to first. If he shifts to first. He needs 10 games there for eligibility.
Thankfully for you, with interleague play, he will get there eventually. If I were you, I might just take a look at the Red Soxs schedule and speculate when and where Ortiz will get time in at first base. Other than that, you pretty much just have to sit tight right now and wait this one out. I believe Ortiz will get the eligibility there, but in the meantime you could look for a stopgap, if available, possibly better than Barton if you need immediate results.
