why is my brand new plasma tv shocking me?
ok i know this is really pretty crazy sounding, but my parents were helping me mount a new plasma tv on the wall. they had a hold of the sides, and i had a hold of the bottom with both hands. next thing i know, im getting shocked pretty bad. everytime we lift it up to plug a componet in, or move it a little, it shocked me. 4 times actually. and its not just a static electricity shock, its continues to vibrate my hands until i let go, and then my hands are actually numb from it. i had to put on a pair of gloves just to finish plugging in the surround sound. what the heck is going on??

i wouldn't think the tv would work if that was the case...
The plug on the wall is probably wired backward (the two vertical blades are swapped). If the TV has a three prong plug, make sure the gound pin on the outlet is connected, too.
You can check the outlet with an inexpensive outlet tester available at home improvement and hardware stores. Here's an example http://www.amazon.com/Ideal-Outlet-Tester-Checks-Circuit/dp/B0000WU4Q8 .
Check the outlets that the other components are pluged into, too.
