what should i do to ensure myself that ill have a pretty good shot at making my high school ball club? hitting off the tee, live, in the cages what? and what kind of wood bat should i get maple bamboo or what?
Why are you swinging a wood bat when high school allows metal bats? You are giving yourself a disadvantage unless everyone else is using wood. And to make the team don't just focus on hitting, focus on all the key elements of baseball. Focus on your field position, batting, baserunning, and all around athleticism. People may say that you don't have to be in shape to play baseball, that is partially true but unless you are bombing home runs left and right and don't have to run the bases or play the field, i would suggest being in shape. For hitting, do everything possible to hit line drives every time, no pop ups.
