I can't play my old games. Help?
I have trouble starting (and perhaps installing) old games. I used to play Earthworm Jim, Beyond Good & Evil, Hand of Fate and King's Quest.
I do understand that most of these games are just outdated, but surely I should be able to play them? EWJ, HoF and KQ were all made for a windows 95, 98 (or ME). I'm pretty sure I sould be able to play these games. Can it be done via DOS? If so, how?
I own a windows XP, I think it's about 5 years old or so. Thank you!
Make sure your account is the admin, then right click on the icon, select properties, and go to the compatibility tab. Then select from the drop-down menu whatever Windows version the game is for.
Play around with the different settings in that menu, that's how I get the old games to work.
