Do you believe that umpires should throw out managers so early for doing very little?
As you have seen this past week, players and managers have been thrown out or even suspended for yelling at the umpires. A lot of the time, umpires throw the managers out without the managers doing much. A manager may go out, yell at the call, throw a cuss word in here and there and then gets thrown out. With Lou Pinella, he got suspended for kicking dirt on an umpire's shoe. He shouldn't of got suspended! I think this arguing is all OK and it makes everything even more entertaining. Umpires should cool it out there and have the mangers speak (and physical show) their emotions in a non-violent way. The umpires shouldn't kick out managers when they say very little and do almost nothing. Let the managers speak their minds!!! What do you think?
I'd suggest that you need to read rule 9, the whole of it. The second line reads as follows:
"The umpires shall be responsible for the conduct of the game in accordance with these official rules and for maintaining discipline and order on the playing field during the game."
You can speak your mind and do so in a relatively orderly and civil fashion. Failure to do so, whether on a diamond, in an office, or within your own family, should always be punished. In baseball, that punishment is an ejections and possibly also a fine and/or suspension.
How about remembering that umpires are NOT automatons and that they have a job to do.
Whining isn't attractive, so you may as well stop doing do.
