Why makes the Cardinals/Cubs rivalry great?
I'm sorry...maybe it's because my team's in the AL, but I really don't see that much of a rivalry here. I know it's because of some territory thing...but...I just can't see it. The two teams don't have any memorable moments together (maybe the Mcgwire/Sosa home run thing, but both were on PEDs). They've had one pennant race this entire decade, in 03, when the Cards finished 3 games behind the Cubs. They've never finished 1-2 in a division, in contrast to the Dodgers/Giants, who's done this 12 times.
If you have a good reason, I'll be happy to hear it.
There is a respectiful hatred in it. There are many many greast moments in the rivalery. (you may just not know cause theyre not high market teams like the yankees red sox. forever that wasnt even a rivalry, it was a beat down on the resox) Every year this decade teh division went to either of the two teams. you just dont know alot about the rivalry, oh well. and your team is what?
