Batman, Corgi, Rare gift set, Where can I get an accurate valuation?
I own a very rare Batman gift set made by Corgi, diecast, comprising Batmobile, Batcopter and Batboat with trailer. The vehicles are in mint condition and all the appliances work, batman & robin figures are also included.
The box is damaged, I got this some 25 years ago as a gift.
I hardly used it for some reason, the only problem is the box and the fact that the rockets are missing.
I want to sell this item and have not been able to find any examples of it anywhere except a picture of it on a Batman collectors website, but it has no reference.
This has given me the impression that it is extremely rare.
I want to get the best price so can anyone point me in the direction of a website where I can post or email pictures and get a decent valuation or even attract a collector buyer?
I was going to put on ebay but due to this item's (potential) rarity I think I would be better off looking for a private buyer?

You certainly have a rare item, it would be tough to give an accurate value for all three pieces. The batmobile alone can range anywhere from $50.00 to $500.00 depending on condition, year released and box. the rarest version is the one with red wheels. I would guess anywhere from $300.00 and up. You also might want to look around on E-bay or some other resource for a set of the rockets (on the tree), instruction sheet and decal in order to have a more complete set. Incidently I paid $150.00 for a mint condition 1973 batmobile that had come from old store stock so it had never been played with. The bottom line is that it will only be worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I would suggest trying E-bay with a really high reserve and see what kind of offers you might get.
