Live near Milwaukee now and cant pick up the game. Saw that little puss puss Backe throw at Molinas head on MLB.com. Any more fireworks.
Would just LOVE to see the Cardinals ram a 40 oz. Pujols slugger up the Astros, wouldnt you?
I watched on the Astros channel and even our announcers said that Backe was popping off to Molina about taking too much time in the batters box. Backe is a fierce competitor. Whether he did it intentionally or not....well...I think we all are going to back our teams to the end. I don't think what Pujols did in Houston was right. And I'm not talking about the sliding into JR Towels. Pujols had every right to do that. As far as he knew there was going to be a play at the plate. But him speaking to Backe on the field the next day,,, that's a different story. I don't think Roy O was aiming at LaRue either. I mean 2 strikes already on a batter in the bottom part of the line up with a recent .048 % BA. I have to ask you WHY? Why would he or any other pitcher want to hit him. After that things escalated to level stupid.
I for one am sorry to see it come to this. The rivalry that the Astros & Cards have had for the last few years has always been a good one, a friendly one and some of the best ballgames I have ever been to.
I hope.... here on this forum, regarding this subject, we can agree to disagree and go on
