Why are people so absorbed by the players high salaries and why does baseball need a salary cap?
For a long time pro sports was like slavery the players made little or nothing while the owners made billions what made it worse is you were
stuck with the team that drafted you whether you liked the team or not until you were sold or traded . If you got hurt you were sol . The players
are the reason people fill the seats at games and you are crazy if you don't think that they should not be compensated . If the owners are willing to pay why shouldn't the players take it . The owners are billionaires baseball is a multi billion dollar buisiness . The players sell
the product and they have every right to reap the benefits .If you want a prime example of a salary cap gone wrong look at the NFL .great players have no job security because if they make too much money they get cut .Other than the signing bonus their money isn't even guaranteed so if somebody gets hurt they're sol and looking at it like that it really is like slavery.
Because they are jealous. When a baseball player makes 20 mil per year, people say "I work so hard and only make like $60,000" Here is the problem with that: What you do for 60k, a million others could also do. There are only a few people in the whole world that could do what Albert Pujols can do. You want to make 20 mil playing ball? Then learn how to hit 40 hrs a year at a .330 average against major league pitchers. Other wise, shut up.
