What would the Marine sign me up for, need some help?
Okay so my little brother is in the boy scouts camp at camp pendleton(hes 8 so its just small stuff like bb guns n such) but there is a bunch of Marine infantrymen helping out. Well ive been wanting to join the Marines for as long as i can remember. so today my mom had to help out so she basicly talked to the Marines asking them for tips on how it was and such so she can pass it on to me. Well this one Marine who she talked with for a while gave her his buisness card, told her to have me call him, and he'll sign me up for something thats (before) DEP. Im not sure what my moms telling me, but she wants me to call him, i deffinatly will but im just curious on what this can be, like a pre Marine thing? btw im 16 if that helps. thanks. && its NOT dep.
It's called the "Young Marines". They basically meet once or twice a week at large Marine Camps (Pendleton, Lejeune) and practice drilling, USMC knowledge, PT, etc.
It's a good way to get some background in the military life and it will definitely keep you out of trouble so you don't fvck up your dreams of earning the title "Marine". I say go for it.

Read the question. The kid very specifically stated that he is NOT referring to the Delayed Entry Program. It is the last sentence. If you knew anything about the military you would know that he cannot DEP in as a 16 year old. And Senjii, if you are actually a Marine please take some fvcking pride in the way you conduct yourself. You are responding to each and every question like a drunken three year old with down syndrome.
