Is this a bad camshaft sensor?
I have a 1999 Chrysler Concorde. For a few months now my car has been acting up. At first...my car would jolt while driving down the road and the check engine light would come on. Then a few days later it would go off. Few days after that it would do the same thing back and forth until recently instead of jolting...the car just shuts off...radio and everything still on...just the car totally dies...it would only do it at a red light or stop sign but a few days ago it actually did it on the freeway! I took it to Auto Zone to hook it to the diagnostic and it said bad camshaft sensor. I was just wondering if this sounds right? Lol.
The cam sensor, or the wire harness going to the cam sensor, sure... before you get stuck on the road, take it to a shop and have it properly diagnosed. Autozone just reading the code is not a proper diagnosis.
