I have a sneaking suspicion that Johann Santana's arm is going to blow out?
That is why I think the Yankees and Sox didn't give up the prospects that the Twins were asking. He isn't too young anymore and he has had some tenderness in his elbow for the last few years. His numbers in the second half of the last two years have been not as stellar as the beginning of the years and he has missed some games from it. Do you think that is why he was pushing for a multiyear contract so hard? What would the trade look like for the Twins if his arm did go out this or next year?
I don't think his arm will go out completely but it may hurt him some this year. I forsee him doing what Barry Zito did. After doing so good for so long, going to another team in a big money trade won't help him.
