Baseball Cards Sports
I have about 5000 baseball and other sports cards I would like to sell. Where do I start?
Most of them are from the 1980-1990 but some are probably older. Is there a certain book I should buy to figure out the amount to sell them for? Is there some card expert I could talk to? Is it even worth the pain of sorting the cards?
I would try Craigslist before Ebay. You could probably sell the entire lot in one shot and you don't have to fuss around with shipping, shipping costs, etc..... You can find a local buyer on Craiglist. Chances are, you probably don't have a card in there that, individually, will be worth more that $30-$50. You probably have a few rookie cards from the 80's that might fall in that price range. With how your describing your lot, you don't have to worry about being "that person" who sells the lot for $300 and then you see the guy on "Antique Road Show" and you sold him a $10,000 mint condition Lou Gehrig rookie card or something.
