Can I make my cards look older?
I'm looking for a way to make a deck of card look older. I run a weekly Dungeons and Dragons game and I bought an actual Deck of Many Things as a prop to get my players. However, to give it more flare I was going to tie it up in twine to give it a more authentic appearance but I was wondering if there was a way to make them look worn in and aged. One of my ideas was to leave them in the sun to fade them a bit. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Use sandpaper to LIGHTLY sand them (practice on another card first to get the hang of it)
Then, brush strong coffee over them. Let dry.
Be rough with them. Crumple and straighten out if feasible (if that makes play difficult, then obviously, con't do this part.)
