Why don't players share their bats?
They are so uptight about letting someone use a bat.
Ex.: Buddy Carlyle of the Atlanta Braves is a relief pitcher, who doesn't usually bat, and today he was in a position to bat, and didn't have one (which is weird not to have atleast ONE). The broadcasters talked about hearing him "beg for a bat in the dugout". Finally after being rejected, even by players on the DL, Tim Hudson allowed him to use his bat.
Why is this such a big deal to let another player use a bat?
its like letting someone else use your toothbrush, its just wrong.
