The Baseball Stars

Here's an easy one so I will give it to the first person who answers correctly who USES PROPER GRAMMAR. No all lower case or internetease - you must write like an adult to get the points:

* Former Major Leaguer
* Played in the Minors before he went to the Majors
* Was drafted in the top 100 rounds
* Would go to spring training with the team to get ready for the season
* Sometimes he would sign autographs for fans
* Wore his number on the back of his uniform
* When he would bat, the PA announcer would say his name
